When Marissa asked me to capture her bridal portraits I was honored. We met around ten years old, playing rec basketball together. Even though we attended different schools our friendship was still good. One of those friends you can always start back where you left off. We took her bridals at Somerset Place- one of my favorite locations to take bridals. It’s a plantation house along the northern shore of Lake Phelps and now a state historic site. Somerset has a lot to offer, a beautiful view of Lake Phelps, a huge porch that just screams southern hospitality, tons of open fields and a long white picket fence.

I remember her bridals so perfectly. It was COLD and I mean like the coldest day ever!!!! But Marissa was a champ and toughed it out. I loved her dress, it fit like a glove and complemented Marissa’s body so well. The train of the dress was probably my favorite thing about the dress
